Ahaaryam
This choreography is based on Aharyabhinaya which is expression through embellishments, mainly Jewelery. Traditional Jewelery worn by the temple dancers of yester years seemed to have had a definite purpose with their selection of gems and the pattern of design. The theme of Aharyam aims at this where the dancer adorns herself glamorously. Here some stories of the gems and its significance has been elaborated through episodes or "Sancharies", with their stories selected from Hindu mythology.
